The traditional name for this variety of shawls is" Kani" and is very famous from the lands of Kashmir. Kani is generally an array of beautiful patterns woven using bright colors with a multi colored striped edges. This particular shawl is made in wool, but is not hand woven. It is machine woven to give the Kani look. The original Kani is much more lighter, softer to feel and more luxurious.
